Biography for Jerome Hediger
How did you find out about NBG and why you want to do this ride?
I have been in contact with NBG through the net for about a year since we started marketing the Trimuter trike. I am very interested in seeing more user
friendly bi-ways for bicycling and now for Andrew' s benefit also.
Touring experience:
I usually do 1 or 2 week long supported tours each year.
Tell us about your bike:
I will be riding a short wheel base bent with
underseat steering that we call a HedTurner. We are just starting to market this product. It is towards high end with Dura Ace, Hugi Swiss disc brake hubs, hydraulic disc brakes, carbon fairings on the wheels and a high back carbon seat. I will change over to Ultegra Triple for touring. I had planned to ride a carbon foldable trike, but the unit has not been tested enough.
Describe your training regimen:
I do weight training several times a week and try to ride at least 100 miles per week.
How many miles do you ride a year?
2000-4000
Are you car free or interested?
I ride or walk to work everyday and only
use a vehicle for hauling goods.
How are you making time for this event?
I am trying to get ahead at work and
will have to work very hard to catch up when I return.
How many miles do you plan to ride in 2002?
About the usual, 2000-4000.
What are your fears about doing this ride?
I have concerns like being able to provide myself healthy food ( I am macrobiotic) and of course safety, but I can not say I have fears.
Do you have any special skills?
I have a lot of skills, but none I regard as special.
Are you affiliated with any bike club E-mail groups?
N/A
What other activities are you involved in?
I work too much, enjoy my Harley and enjoy building all types of things.
