Frequently asked questions about the PocketMail Independant Dealer Program

How are my customers charged for service once their year of service has expired?
When a customer activates their first year of service, the PocketMail Customer Service Representative will ask the customer for their credit card information. This is to allow your customer to use and be charged for additional services like faxing. Once the initial year of service has expired, the customer’s credit card will be billed $149 for their next year of service.

For customers who did not provide credit card information at the time of activation, they will have to call customer service at (800) 390-5034 or send a check/money order for another year of PocketMail service. Your customer will receive e-mail reminders from PocketMail when they need to pay for the next year’s service.
Are the proceeds from PocketMail sales reported to the IRS by PocketMail Inc.?
No, since independant dealers are not employed by PocketMail Inc. Each independant dealer is responsible for self-reporting any income from the sales of PocketMail bundles.

Can I have devices shipped to me if I am away from my permanent address?
Devices can be shipped via a range of shipping alternatives to any location. Please specify the delivery address when you place your order.

What happens if my customer receives a defective device?
Contact PocketMail customer service at (800) 390-5034 and speak with a PocketMail Customer Service Representative about the problems with the device. If troubleshooting measures are not effective, the representative will instruct your customer on how to proceed.

What support do independant dealers receive from PocketMail?
PocketMail provide Independant Dealers with training materials, product advertising and promotional materials.

How can I track my orders, or who can help me with any other questions I have?

Can a independant dealer charge more or less than the recommended selling price?
As the name suggests a recommended selling price is just that, a recommended price. We recommended this price to all our independant dealers. There is no law preventing you from selling above or below this price but we ask all our independant dealers to abide by our guidelines.

Is the PocketMail Composer compatible with all phones?
The new Composer works with virtually any telephone in the world including, home phones, cordless phones, and even public payphones most digital and analog cell phones all GSM, TDMA and analog cellular services.

On CDMA cellular systems the Composer may not be reliable unless the phone is switched to analog mode.
